When Chef Suzanne and Sommelier Caroline Styne first opened Lucques in 1998, they envisioned a place where food would be the catalyst for so much more. They wanted the restaurant to be part of the community - a meeting place where friends could gather, relax, escape, celebrate, and, of course, eat. Lucques’ owner Caroline Styne will talk with guests about Barbara Barry's involvement in the design of the space, her first restaurant project, the thought that went into it and her genius in taking the bones of the space and turning it inot one of the coziest and most unique spaces in Los Angeles. Lucques Chef will prepare a delicious bite for each guest to enjoy. In the nearly dozen years since then Lucques has garnered extraordinary accolades, and is now recognized as one of the country’s best restaurants. One of the reasons for all the attention is the Sunday Supper; the night that best exemplifies the ladies’ original mission by offering seasonal prix fixe menus that re-create the atmosphere of a relaxed family dinner. Lucques offers California cuisine with Mediterranean and French influences served in the warm and intimate setting of the rustic carriage house of the original Harold Lloyd estate.
