RH AT THE ANDAZ

Located at Andaz West Hollywood, RH restaurant and bar showcases the menus of Executive Chef Sebastien Archambault, who previously earned a Michelin star Le Pirate in Corsica. Now his Southwestern French cuisine featuring California’s freshest ingredients is prepared in an exciting culinary setting – the 1,515-square-foot exhibition-style open kitchen.

Private dining is also available for up to 12 people along an expansive 400-bottle wine wall. The eclectic wine list features 70 varieties of California and French small-lot, hand-crafted boutique wines. RH’s ambiance is elegant and refined, yet casual and comfortable, with a fresh and lively mid-century vibe.

Taste and Space guests will be offered a glass of wine on the way to a roof top pool deck tour, the newly completed Penthouse Suite, and then back to the RH chef’s latest tastes from his spring/summer menu, where the open kitchen with Molteni stoves, ovens and cooking stations are centrally located, and the culinary action visible from the restaurant and bar. Walk-in refrigerators feature glass fronts so guests may follow the progress of their dishes literally from cooler to pantry to table.

Architect and interior designer Hal Goldstein blurred the distinction between inside and outside with the Sunset-facing exterior featuring a site-specific sculpture by Jacob Hashimoto. His aluminum, stainless steel and Kynar work dices incoming sunlight as it shines across the granite bar and into the restaurant.

RH seats about a hundred guests at communal and private tables surrounded by Goldstein’s combinations of metal, stone, glass and fabric. The ruggedness and sophistication of mid-century design offers both warmth and intimacy to the community environment. There is a small chef’s dining table in the kitchen and two semi-private dining tables that are surrounded on one side by a gallery of wines.
