The Power of Supportive Services

While we can't control our environment, we can take control of how we react to it. That's why The Courtyard at La Brea resident, Angelo, begins every day with a yoga practice right in the comfort of his apartment. “I’m pretty set in my routine,”, he explained. Angelo began his daily yoga practice after he attended yoga programs in his apartment community, organized by WHCHC resident services coordinator, Julio. Angelo expressed his enthusiasm for the yoga techniques he learned from his teacher. “Everything he taught, I do every day.”

He continued to describe how the yoga programs benefit his daily life. “Even though we don’t have the yoga [instructor], I do yoga in my living room. I never would’ve known [these techniques] if I didn’t learn that from him!” Learn more about Angelo in our upcoming Resident Spotlight featured in our next Communiqué

Food for our Residents, Thanks to our Partners
It’s a tragedy that food insecurity is a struggle for many Americans. And it’s far too often a reality for those on a fixed income. WHCHC is fortunate to have great partners that help residents by providing safe food deliveries. We’d like to thank those partners for their help in supporting our community – It’s with their help that we ensure our residents eat comfortably. That’s why all our partners are vital to the well-being of WHCHC residents, including Karsh Center, HopeNet, Seeds of Hope, and Project Angel Food, shown here safely delivering meals along with West Hollywood Mayor Lindsey Horvath.
