RESIDENT SERVICES PROGRAMS
Creating, Collaborating,& Connecting
WHCHC's Resident Services Programs address issues relevant to various areas of life for the populations we serve. Our team of Resident Services Coordinators (RSC’s) believes in respect, service, and commitment to our residents so they can thrive in their communities and live healthy, independent lives.
Our Resident Services staff creates a unique service plan, called a "Needs Assessment" for each resident. Participation in our Resident Services programs are always voluntary. Our RSC's collaborate with the onsite property manager to ensure resident needs are being addressed and resolved in a timely manner. Together, we are committed to building a community that promotes health and safety for all residents.
Our diverse resident population includes those with special needs, men and women living with HIV/AIDS, older adults who are aging in place, veterans, individuals with a mental health diagnosis, and Transition-Age-Youth. In order to increase community resources available to our residents, WHCHC have collaborates with Jewish Family Services, Los Angeles LGBT Center, Aids Project Los Angeles, Actor’s Fund, and the Children’s Institute.
Our Resident Services team provides an array of services, including:
Referrals to outside social service agencies to access services such as
transportation, food, benefits, rental assistance and health care
Promoting on-site activities for community building and social activities
Workshops related to, but not limited to: health, educational, emotional and social support, and life skills
Individual meetings with a RSC to help create individual service plans tailored to meet the needs of the resident
While we welcome and encourage resident participation, it is entirely voluntary and does not affect one’s tenancy.
WHCHC's Resident Services Team is both knowledgeable and compassionate, and committed to the mental, emotional and physical well being of all of the residents who reside in our buildings.
