VERMONT MANZANITA RESIDENTS VOLUNTEER FOR NEIGHBORHOOD BEAUTIFICATION
This family, who resides at our Vermont Manzanita Apartment Community, actively participates in the Berendo Neighborhood Association, hosted by the LAPD Olympic station right across the street. Here, they joined members in a neighborhood beautification project where they painted a mural for all to enjoy.
TWO WHCHC PROJECTS,
WESTMORE LINDEN AND ELDEN ELMS,
RECEIVE CRITICAL FUNDING
WHCHC is delighted to share that two of our projects in the Koreatown/Pico-Union area of the City of Los Angeles have received critical funding. Currently under construction, Westmore Linden (92 units for Seniors), received $1.4m in Affordable Housing Program (AHP) funds from the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco.
Elden Elms (92 units for Families) received $16.6m in Affordable Housing and Sustainable Communities (AHSC) funds from the California Department of Housing and Community Development and the Strategic Growth Council. Elden Elms is scheduled to begin construction in the spring of 2019.
